Applicants have the option of submitting an academic explanation essay, if they have had extenuating circumstances where their GPA does not reflect their true academic ability.

Could I submit an academic explanation essay to have my already-defended but not yet conferred master’s to be classified under masters conferred rather than masters in progress?

Applicants must submit official documentation before the application deadline. If your degree is not yet conferred by October 1st, it will be treated as an in-progress degree when reviews take place.

Do I require a certain grade for prerequisite courses?

No. We require that prerequisite courses have been passed.

Do you accept online degree-level courses and do they count toward the weighted GPA?

Online degree-level courses completed at accredited universities are acceptable in order to fulfill degree and prerequisite requirements.  Additionally, if the online course(s) is/are started and completed during the regular academic session from September-April they are eligible to contribute to course load to fulfill the course load requirements for the weighted GPA. 

Does a withdrawn course (W) count towards a full course load for wGPA?

No. For a course to count towards wGPA, it must be completed, even if it is failed. As a withdrawal is not a completed course, it cannot be used towards a full course load. Withdrawn courses are not removed as your lowest courses either, as they are not completed courses.
